Healthcare moves at the speed of trust®
Head of Growth, Enterprise
San Francisco, CA
About Sunny
Sunny is building the AI-native operating layer for healthcare.
Healthcare organizations still rely on people, call centers, fragmented databases, and legacy software to perform enormous amounts of work that modern AI can increasingly perform autonomously.
Sunny connects members, providers, pharmacies, employers, and health plans through intelligent agents and a continuously improving healthcare data layer.
Our products help organizations verify benefits, navigate provider networks, improve provider-directory accuracy, schedule care, steer members toward higher-quality and lower-cost providers, and deliver care directly through text and voice.
The result is a fundamentally different healthcare experience for members, and dramatically lower administrative cost for the organizations serving them.
The Role
We're hiring a Head of Growth to personally originate and close Sunny's largest and most strategic enterprise relationships.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You will not manage a sales team.
You will own relationships across health plans, TPAs, benefits platforms, healthcare navigation companies, provider organizations, and other large strategic partners from first conversation through signed contract and expansion.
These are complex deals. They may involve multiple executives, pilots, security reviews, integrations, procurement processes, ROI modeling, and entirely new ways of deploying AI inside healthcare organizations.
Your job is to personally turn that complexity into revenue.
You'll work directly with the CEO, product, and engineering. On a given opportunity, you may act as salesperson, strategist, solutions consultant, and deal quarterback.
This role is for someone who wants to personally close transformative enterprise customers, not manage a team that does.
What You'll Own
- Personally own enterprise revenue from target-account strategy through signed contract and expansion.
- Identify, prospect, and develop relationships with executives at health plans, TPAs, benefits platforms, navigation companies, provider organizations, and other strategic healthcare companies.
- Create opportunities rather than waiting for inbound demand.
- Identify the highest-value problems Sunny can solve inside each organization and structure commercial engagements around measurable outcomes.
- Run executive meetings, product demonstrations, negotiations, and commercial processes yourself.
- Navigate complex buying processes across business owners, product teams, clinical leaders, IT, security, legal, procurement, and executive leadership.
- Develop pilots and proofs of concept that can quickly convert into large production deployments.
- Build compelling business cases around administrative savings, member experience, utilization, network performance, and healthcare cost reduction.
- Work directly with product and engineering to scope integrations and translate customer needs without turning Sunny into a services organization.
- Develop pricing, packaging, contracting, and expansion strategies for large accounts.
- Own your pipeline, forecasting, deal strategy, and revenue targets.
- Identify repeatable enterprise wedges that allow Sunny to expand from an initial use case into a broader strategic relationship.
What Success Looks Like
You personally establish Sunny as a strategic technology partner to major healthcare organizations.
You originate and close significant enterprise contracts, turn pilots into production deployments, expand customers across Sunny products, and develop relationships that can put Sunny in front of hundreds of thousands or millions of members.
Over time, you create a repeatable enterprise sales motion while remaining the person executing it.
Who You Are
You are an exceptional enterprise seller who knows how to create and close complicated healthcare deals. You likely have:
- 7+ years in enterprise sales, business development, partnerships, or commercial roles.
- Significant experience personally selling into health plans, large employers, TPAs, healthcare technology companies, provider organizations, or similarly complex enterprises.
- A history of sourcing and personally closing large, multi-stakeholder contracts.
- The ability to develop relationships with senior executives while also working effectively with technical and operational teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise healthcare economics and purchasing.
- Experience constructing ROI models and using economic value to drive commercial conversations.
- Comfort navigating security, legal, procurement, implementation, and integration processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- High agency and the ability to create opportunities rather than simply process inbound demand.
- Comfort operating in an environment where neither the sales playbook nor the category has been fully defined.
- Experience selling software, AI, healthcare infrastructure, navigation, payer technology, or administrative automation is especially valuable.
You should not take this role if your primary goal is to become a people manager. We are specifically looking for someone who wants to remain an elite individual contributor and personally own major enterprise relationships.
Why Sunny
The healthcare industry spends enormous amounts of money operating administrative systems that exist largely because information and coordination have historically been expensive.
AI changes that assumption.
Sunny is building the technology platform that connects the healthcare system and allows much of that work to happen autonomously.
You'll work directly with the founding team and personally own some of the most consequential relationships Sunny builds.
